Just a techie guy running feddit.online to allow people to communicate, make friends and acquaintances. Odd coming from a happy introvert, right? (https://jerry.hear-me.blog/about)

I also own:
Mastodon: https://hear-me.social
Alternative Mastodon UI: https://phanpy.hear-me.social
Peertube instance: https://my-sunshine.video
Friendica: https://my-place.social
Bluesky PDS: https://blue-ocean.social (jerry.blue-ocean.social)
and more…

I believe in Lemmy, in replies (but not in the original message), including a Fediverse ID sends the reply to that address. So I hope they’ll come take a look. Yes, it’s officially their account.

I agree with your annoyance. Good luck!

You might want to include @protonprivacy@mastodon.social

I’ve noticed the same happening sometimes on https://feddit.online. I deleted one of the duplicates to fix it. I assumed it would fix it, but based on this report, the community might be left broken.

I have a hunch, but don’t have evidence, that it’s possible to add a community that was already added by the seeding routine and so end up with two of the same.

Oddly, they do have different stats.

I used a straight edge. They aren’t lined up.

Thanks, Phil.

I agree about Drudge, and I ignored the report for years. But, like you, of late, it seems fine, so I’ve been following it. I too would abandon it if it goes back to misinformation.

I found numerous references to it documented on the Internet, before posting it

I’m actually reading and replying from my PieFed instance.

Thank you for setting up the group for me!

I just sent you a message from my Mastodon instance. Messages to/from Lemmy to/from Mastodon should work.

I just started following both this group and bits_and_pieces from Mastodon and from Friendica. Friendica does recognize both as type “Groups”.

I haven’t seen a post yet from bits_and_pieces come in to either one yet since I just started following. I’ll post here how they look in both applications. In PieFed, what I see is identical to how it shows in Lemmy.
