I’ve stayed out of this mess so far because engaging in these struggle sessions is usually a waste of time but if dunk culture is opposed by the mods the modlog should reflect that. Banning people with no reason given besides some pithy joke is just dunking isn’t it? Because looking at the modlog gives no indication for why users like Alaskaball are perma banned besides disagreeing with the decisions being made. From an outside perspective it just looks like a user who engages in effortposting and actively tries to make this site better is being banned for no reason. If we want to make this site better it has to come from both sides.
Trudeau bans Tiktok from operating in Canada, but not banning Canadians from using it? Essentially just forcing Tiktok to close their Canadian offices and lay off their employees.

I have a redmi note 11 and I find they work really well for being in that price range. Only downside is you need to get it drop shipped because they aren’t sold in North America, and the band comparability isn’t the same so the signal can be a little weak.
All the talk about TIFF cancelling the documentary about Russian soldiers is breaking my brain. It’s not enough that the documentary is already pro Ukraine by showing the Russian soldiers become disillusioned with the war, anything that shows Russians as human beings cannot be allowed in Western media. Knowing they would gladly show a documentary humanizing Nazis but Russians are a bridge too far
