Constant upgrades are tricky, since that’s basically content, which most games try to give out slowly to keep you enticed for more. Competitive games won’t give much, so that you won’t outclass other players on an even field.
The Division (2) is a pretty decent one; up until max level you’re just letting numbers go up, and then there’s some specialized builds you can put together that prioritize things like forcing enemy attention, activating abilities more frequently, or triggering combo effects on weapons.
Helldivers 2 has a lot of weapons and different support abilities to unlock.
Have not played it, but Destiny 2 may fit with what you’re looking for.
So is no one here in comments calling her a bad candidate? Are you just citing external favorability? The label of “least worst option” came from a commenter, not a nameless poll statistic. I’d question whether that’s really an external reference, and not a personal attack on her character.
To me it wasn’t even close because there was nothing outwardly negative about Kamala. So, I’m looking to identify specific thoughts that lead to that unfavorability.
And, be warned, in the lack of anything else, the thoughts “She’s a woman” and “She’s black” come up as the reason for it; indicating that the derived stance of the person above is “The democratic party should never run with minorities.”
Game Pass used to have occasional hits coming out like Hi-Fi Rush. They literally fired the development team for putting out a GOTY winner. Meanwhile, Starfield’s team is still around.
Microsoft’s gaming division is basically filled with investors now. No one is making fun games.
If there’s one thing that got me tired of it, it’s that it’s much cheaper from a game design standpoint when all opponents are killed, any unique characters you’re meant to save are already dead (don’t have to animate them) and all gameplay is combat.
It makes the game a bit depressing sometimes when it’s a lot of missions around arriving too late and mourning the dead.
I’ve started recognizing when a section of a game feels baller, but it’s 99% because of the soundtrack. They can have the most generic basis for an emotional scene, and then as long as the music nails the mood it could be just blocks on a screen.
Final Fantasy XIV has had awe-inspiring tracks for the finales of each expansion since Shadowbringers; pretty much starting at the final zone through the final dungeon and trial.
Ace Attorney always gets it with its confrontation tracks; it could just be two people arguing in a hallway and it turns the battle of words into the most epic thing.
I’ll also give a shout out to Ori and the Blind Forest / Will of the Wisps. For both of those, it’s not just a few banger tracks for the exciting moments; even the downtime tracks are so memorable.
My final straw was giving takedowns to assets used in Garry’s Mod. Those uses are generally associated to pro-Nintendo artistic messaging, and don’t go towards any game piracy.
I decided from there I was done with Nintendo, haven’t given them a dime since. They need to downsize their law department before I consider them again.
This is implying there is anything - any possible combination of words in the history of linguistics - that could ever convince them not to vote for Trump.
I’ve seen them have their reasoning destroyed in debate, even using gentle wording, even pointing to Trump’s own words. They don’t change as a result.
And I’ll say it again, dumb “quotation” because it only referred to convincing people to try Ubisoft+; which is very explicitly a game rental system.
(Setting aside the change going in through California law where ALL retailers must stop referring to sales as ownership. That affects Assassin’s Creed just as much as your next indie Roguelike)
