Some Arma 3 campaign plot thing where there are 2 major blocks in the world by 2035, NATO vs CSAT, the latter, being formed by China, Russia, Iran, Turkey etc. internationally, mainly seen composed of Iranian/Arabic people speaking Persian and having a presence on an independent Mediterranean Island as peacekeeping mission alternative to NATO, but also secretly testing an earthquake device to destabilize the ordinary life on smaller countries to set a precedent for going there on an “aid and peacekeeping” mission.

The closer we get to 2035, the more I feel like Arma 3’s timeline can actually be a reality by then.

For the record, and with respect, I blame Miller.

Tested the Reforger when it was released first and the animations were quite better, although very limited then. I don’t know how it is now, but hopefully there are a lot more variations.

They have to go about this route to reach the kids so kids won’t see stuff, but nevertheless hear about them to have an opinion:

Israeli Government: ‘Genocidal rage face under the reasonable face mask’ We have a right to defend ourselves by bombing civilians because of x reasons

U.S. President: Our allies have a right to defend themselves against terrorist attacks

Mainstream media: Holocaust survivors facing the same horrors at the hands of Palestinian terrorists must take every measure to defend themselves

Parents watching mainstream media only: Look how these barbarian Arabs without blue eyes and blonde hair are causing never before seen atrocities

Kids

Oh no, you are wrong about that, dude. Buzzing each other and actually copying all other domestic and international acts of each other has earned Mitsotakis and Erdoğan very firm seats. Just cry “enemy at the gates” when the elections are closing in, you can be a god among men.

Ah I was just going to ask in the other comment chain about if all Supergiant Games made the same impression as Transistor did for me, but seeing from the discussion here I’m inclined to think that they are all pretty good with something grabbing some people in and other things grabbing other people in the other game.

Disco Elysium is the better game probably, but since it is talked about a lot (rightfully so), I’ll go with the similar game I played previous to it:

Tyranny

It is the same genre with Disco Elysium (C-RPG or Isometric RPG, whatever you want to call) with also combat on top of it. Set in a bronze-age kind of time. A lot of choices that matter so as much to block whole maps and events completely if one is chosen over the other. A lot of “main paths” that can be gone on. Both positive and negative (favor and wrath) development with factions, faction leaders, companions, etc. that can affect the game and the outcomes. Great main and side cations with quite good stories behind. Combat can take place a lot of time and the game offers deep combat builds, but overall combat is pretty dull imo.

Going beyond the introduction of the game, in my opinion Tyranny has a very rare story in gaming: The evil has already won, and a tyrant-god rules the world now. You are just a lackey with middle-management status (Fatebinder, some kind of an on-field representer of the prophet/primary judge of the tyrant ruler) that judges whether act happen in accord with the will of the tyrant or not.

Real hard decisions to be made in the game. Some Obsidian humor in it. Overall not a feel-good game, like Disco Elysium. Way better soundtrack in my opinion.

I’d say the browncoat (along with rest of the clothes and the body) are the centerpiece, so yeah, Captain Reynolds finding himself in weird places again.

I think the more “valued” or preferred part of an insult is rather its phonetic or expressive aspect rather than the semantic one. Of course the semantic parts plays a role, as well, but the need to use stressed syllables to express oneself, or simply vent out the emotion, far surpasses the need to utter a semantically-accurate syllable or word to badmouth someone or something.

See here from Monty Python and the Holy Grail

It is a beautiful insult that can vent out the emotions, or can be used for fun among friends etc. that uses no semantics to insult people, but uses very mouthful words to stress and some unfocused (as in not targeting any types of people) pragmatics, like insulting someone by insulting their parents, and insulting them as such making them out to be not something they are (was an x, smelt).

So, whatever semantically gender-neutral alternative you are looking for, consider to have a very strong expressive aspect to it that sticks to tongue.

No, Hamas doesn’t have a pass. It is more like “It isn’t like Israel is getting fucked over every day and having no international support, unlike Palestinian civilians” situation. Hence the more emphasis on Israeli cruelty towards Palestinian civilians here.

None of us are having “oops, Hamas failed rocket, they have only scraps to wage their freedom fights anyway so it is normal” type of attitude here. Fuck Hamas for having no regard for both Palestinian and Israeli civilian lives.
