I was using a combination of pipe pipe / freetube. Grayjay has a better interface (imo) and feels way more stable.

Interesting video on Chernobyl and the people still living in the exclusion zone.

I can’t watch the video via the BBC site but it exists elsewhere.

I think I’d be more concerned if my hands were that small

I found YTM to have more niche music selections vs Spotify.

You could always try plexamp if you want to self-host.

I use NixOS for all my systems now, single config covers two servers, laptop, notebook and desktop.

Containers aren’t something to be afraid of, I’ve found nix + podman to be super easy to use / configure, so much it’s a copy / paste a config from another container with some small directory changes.

If you are not someone who likes using a terminal perhaps nix isn’t for you. I’ve found forcing the terminal & configuring via nix has given me much more insight into my machines / os than ever before. If you’ve got the time to mess with Nix I’d recommend it.

If that sounds like a bunch of effort and time to get something that may be easier via another method, I’d say Proxmox is the way to go.

Running through my config I’ve just noticed that I’ve got an IP conflict that I wasn’t aware of, but makes total sense right now 😅

Currently trying to find a screwdriver set that went missing after boxing up a bunch of old consoles. I don’t remember putting it there, nor do I want to open and unpack everything again 😅

My wall mounted split systems were <$1000 AUD each, 3.5kw. Found a sparkie and a fridgie to do the install, set us back around $3000 for two systems installed.

Great units, added some wifi dongles and tied them into my home-assistant for remote / out of home control & scheduling.

Probably the best addition to our home currently, don’t know how we lived here using pedestal fans and gas heating.

I wanted to get more ram for my notebook however it’s soldered to the board with no extra DIMM or storage options.

It’s an old satellite from Toshiba, 4gb ram, dual core intel, 64gb emmc. Serves it’s purpose running a bare bones (ish) install of Nix.

Really hate ewaste hardware.
