People taking the voting system so seriously. On Reddit people got offended by being downvoted. Sometimes people downvote just because it’s sitting at a low number.

Reddit is one website where everything lives. The website is made of many different parts that all run on computers that are owned/controlled by Reddit.

Lemmy is multiple sites where everything lives. Lemmy is made of many different parts that are run on different computers by different people.

These parts all speak the same language so for someone using Lemmy, it feels like it’s all just one website.

Tbh the lack of people and content here has limited my doom scrolling tremendously.

Also helps that everyone here is like a kid on their first day of high school or college. Zero toxicity! 😎

I’m getting 8-10 year old accounts that haven’t commented for months jumping on any post I made where I mention Lemmy. So far, Lemmy is apparently a place for “CCP apologists” and “tankies”.

I’ve yet to run into any of these individuals. Sounds like some people at Reddit are not so happy.

The great thing about Lemmy is that it’s all decentralized. Lemmy.ml mods and admins can’t do anything about other instances

Elon and Donald taught everyone that when you start being a dick, double down on it.

Love how totally out of touch with human psychology these decision makers are.

In Canada it’s starting to become “political” since our morons are egged on by the morons down south.

The fact is that there is some useful info that only is on Reddit. No shame in looking that stuff up since that’s where it is.

The main thing is to stop using Reddit as your go-to time waster/doom scrolling app
