Considering Trump wants to define trans people out of existence and make our care illegal, outlaw gay marriage, and classify any queer person in public as a sex offender and put them in prison, yeah I’d think queer people are better under biden than they would be under trump.
While accurate that pay needs to rise too, some people would kill (not literally) for just a 5% increase. A lot of people have 10-15% increases so it just being 5 percent would be huge for millions of renters. And it’s not like landlords aren’t already increasing rent every year.
It’s so nice having my rights be shat on on such a high profile stage. They really can’t handle that trans people exist and have always existed, and they might even find some of us attractive.
I also really appreciate the article talking about the bullshit myth that trans athletes have some kind of advantage in sports. I don’t usually see that.
Carlson “proof” was that a producer of his show who is also gay said so. Saying about his producer, "Gays all keep close track of that stuff.” I didn’t know that gay folk all knew each other. I’m sure Tucker Carlsons producer is a well-connected gay person, totally not just a self-hating gay person who hates their community and anyone who is a part of their community who is well known.
Jack Smith is a special counsel. He was appointed by the Attorney General. That’s how those appointments work. Was Robert Hurr being appointed to investigate biden classified documents illegal? Was John Durham’s appointment for investigating the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation illegal? None of the special counsels in recent history have been appointed by the president or approved by the senate because that’s not what a special counsel is. It is a DoJ job appointed by the Attoryney general or, if the attorney general has recused himself, the assistant attorney general.
Their last statement was very poorly worded but did seem to be just a continuation of the policy that had already existed. This is actually the right, or at least better, way to phrase things. I knew people who thought they were saying all gender affirming care should be left to adults with their prior statement, so I’m glad we got this clarification. That said, that’s all it is, a clarification. This was only a story because of their poor phrasing. Hopefully, now my fellow trans folk can relax a little until the election in November decides whether or not we get made illegal.
It wasn’t even just him. Apparently, there were multiple trans students deadnamed. So it’s not just an accident for one person.
Ozma, I’ve got an actual question for you. For months you’ve been posting that you think biden will be replaced as the nominee at the convention. Before now you thought it was gonna be Newsom. My question is, if Newsom did replace biden, would that change your vote in november from third party to democrat? I’m not trying to be shitty here, I’m just genuinely curious.
