Yeah we really regress whenever Hojbjerg has to play as our 6, he’s not a bad player but he’s like the antithesis of an Angeball player lol.

Almost as if when we lost 4 or 5 key starters and had to play the same old culprits under our previous managers, we start playing seeing the same problems.

Yup, Sanchez would have been far better for the system, but from what I saw reported Dier wasn’t willing to leave. He’d rather to see out his contract, despite it being clear at that point that he was only going to get a look in if we got injuries…

With the amount of games happening between now and the new year + then players leaving for afcon and asian games, that’s a big chunk of the season we’ll be missing vital players, while having fuck all depth

Villa and Newcastle are definitely not shit, I’d be pretty happy to come away with four points from that.
