Mouse + Keyboard here. Couldn’t imagine trying to play as Ganyu, Nahida, or Tighnari without M+KB.

Yea. I feel like Beehaw cutting a lot of the larger general communities out from two of the biggest instances is highlighting early a major hurdle that’s gonna make the whole fediverse thing difficult to get a lot of people on board with. I don’t want to have to keep making new accounts to access stuff, but like… half of the communities I had subscribed to are just gone now because the admins over there decided they don’t want to play with anyone else, I guess.

Yup. News, Politics, Gaming, Technology are just a few I had joined. This feels like a major blow to this whole Fediverse thing if it’s trying to retain momentum from what Reddit is doing, since a lot of the more populous instances just got cut off on the larger instances.

I get where they’re coming from, but like… way to try to sabotage the entire system, I guess.

I like Barbara’s voice. I know that she apparently had a different voice when the game first released and everyone says it’s a massive downgrade now, but I listened to clips and honestly kinda prefer her current one.

Also, I really like bow charge shot gameplay. Ganyu and Tighnari are some of the more fun characters to me. Well… while playing with M+KB at least. If playing mobile, I can 100% understand why you wouldn’t want to play them.

I almost made a Beehaw account since I saw a bunch of the communities I wanted to join were on there and it kept logging me out when I went to them.

I managed to figure it out after seeing that making an account there needs an essay. So I guess I’m just gonna stay based here, waiting to see if and when kbin opens itself up to the rest of the fediverse (since I joined there first but came here when I saw that kbin is currently blocking itself off from everyone else, which is exactly what I didn’t want when making the jump from Reddit to the fediverse).

No ranks. You get paired against an opponent and you two play until someone gets 10 cubes. If you win, you get some extra rewards (some coins for a new shop that was added with the mode) and a ticket to move up to the next bracket. Higher bracket means more coins for winning, but also more wins required before you can advance to the next bracket. 1 win, then 2 wins, then 3 wins, then 5 wins. If you lose, you go back to the bottom bracket and work your way back up.

It’s pretty much just regular snap but 1) no ranks to lose, 2) an extra currency that you get as you win, and 3) you play the same opponent a couple games in a row, so you can start strategizing after the first game since you know what deck they’re using now.

You still earn boosters and complete missions in the new mode, so if you’ve hit infinite already there’s largely no reason to not play the new mode.

I’ve been playing for the last three seasons now. I was going to break my F2P status to get Ghost-Spider but the decisions made by the developers the last month or two made me decide full-out against putting any money into the game if they don’t pull their heads out of their ass.

As someone who was actually excited for Overwatch 2, man is it just one disappointment after another. From new heroes being locked away behind the battle passes, to the cosmetics system being complete garbage now, to now this… damn. Just damn. I was willing to forgive the three years they spent letting OW1 rot before they completely destroyed it, but everything has just been so bad.

Still chewing through TotK when I have free time to. Hoping I can get to a point where I’m happy taking a break by the time Pikmin 4 releases.

It’ll sort itself out. Kinda like how you could have a bunch of different subreddits about the same thing (r/gaming vs r/games vs r/videogames, for example) but one always bubbles up to be the biggest main community. Similar will happen here. There’ll be many instances for the same thing, but eventually there’ll be “the one” that becomes the unofficial official one.
