Nobody disagrees that religion is not up to modern scientific standards.
That wasn’t the point. At all. The point is that modern science still says they were on to something. The premise is right answer, wrong reason, so if religion isn’t science … you’re simply agreeing with the whole reason those rules were mentioned in this discussion: (sortof) right answer, wrong reasons.
I’m positive it wasn’t simply, “god says so”, but probably because everyone noticed people who ate them got sick more often, and attributed ills befalling them as a message from God. It happens all the time in religion. It still stems from something real, just misattributed to God, as usual.
In either case, the rules are still valid examples of, “something modern science (sort of) agrees with”.
If you don’t work by the same rules as others, they win. This is the real eorld, not a fairy tale.
Doing GOOD things is good. Period. It’s the same question as, “if you had a billion dollars”. If your answer is, “nothing because I did not earn that money”, you are nothing but a fool.
They’re not making a technical argument but a practical one.
Who ever owns the chain is the ACTUAL owner of the NFTs. Who ever owns the physical hardware is the ACTUAL controller of the chain.
The problem with NFTs is … they only solve theoretical problems, not problems in the real world, where it ALWAYS takes agreement and cooperation for anything to ACTUALLY function and serve a purpose.
Blockchains have already proven to be no more secure than a properly designed normal database, and are ALWAYS going to take more electricity, so…they continue to be nothing but a toy and a canary for the gullible tech bro.
No. This won’t work any better, either. Keeping anonymous porn off the internet is like trying to prevent kids from fooling around with sex by not telling them about sex.
Unless you’re removing their genitals, they’re GOING to figure it out. The situation only gets worse with more ignorance and more control.
