I watched this video earlier today and he’s technically correct that he doesn’t actually say anything that is explicitly racist in the lyrics. A lot of the imagery does heavily imply that he’s talking about liberals and minorities but very carefully avoids just saying it outright

What the lyrics do convey quit openly is his call for vigilantism, gun violence, and xenophobia. It’s basically an entire song threatening to beat up or murder any outsiders he disagrees with who show up in his “small town” of 150,000 people.

It’s pretty disgusting that someone who witnessed a mass shooting would promote such things
