Mr_Buscemi
I can state one secret community that’s been inactive since 2015.
TheTrumanPlan
Every 6 or so months a random redditor was picked and the whole subreddit would set up scenarios to involve the Truman.
One example was when they made a whole subreddit for a band one of them liked. Once they found out the Truman joined, the subreddit was immediately privated.
They then began messing with him by
1: Pretending the sub got sponsored by a Korean ship company
2: make the Truman think there was an song from the band that they all loved but didn’t exist.
3: Fake an AMA with a band member from the band and then have them mention the fake song
4: Have that Korean shipping company post that the AMA was fake and state they are not sponsoring the subreddit anymore.
5: Not noticing that they were slowly fading in Jim Carrey’s face into the sidebar image for weeks and then telling the subreddit he was getting a tattoo of it. They all freaked out when they got told he got the tattoo I think lol.
That was all just from the first Truman I think. There were 7 more after that.
Here are the full megathreads from back then over the first two people picked. https://imgur.com/a/oHmC1NW
That’s what I did too lol. The muscle memory of clicking the bottom left spot of my phone was crazy after a decade of RIF being in one spot the whole time.
The less content is something that will change the more we post.
I plan to find a community or make one that is about just random games that nobody mentions anymore. I found a new love for old Xbox 360 games that have been forgotten.
The game is pretty great. I’ve been having so much fun just being a medic in it. Dodging all enemy fire to go heal people is insane when there are so many people.
One game I kept hearing a guy play Free Bird and loudly sing it. Whenever I got close enough for proximity chat I would start hearing him again. Weaving through fire and the gunshots while hearing that every now and then was amazing.
Here is 40 seconds I recorded showing what it is like to be inside a firefight.
Reddit never gave a shit about the users tbh.
I once modded a sub that got brigaded by some shitheads and they ended up harassing one mod who posted about her father that just died.
Begged the admins in private messages to help us stop this bullshit and they never did anything.
Later we added a mod who we removed when he found he created hate subreddits. That guy then led another brigage against the sub by lying about why we removed him.
Admins didn’t help again :/
Eventually that shithead got permy banned from Reddit for making those hate subs but that took months after I asked for help.
