According to the Convoy BLF thread there is also an 8A buck driver coming in 20mm size. That (or these new 17mm drivers with an adapter) enables more options for the S21A as well.
These make great night lights in 2700k (the moonlight mode is acceptably low).
Watch out for standby drain which can bring the battery to below standard voltage such that the hs10 won’t charge it. Loosening the tail cap is a good idea for medium-term storage.
a spreadsheet existed where you could sort by model/lumens/pricing/etc
Maybe something like Parametrek?
This link is filtered to include lights with usb-c charging and the two LEDs offered in the FC11: http://flashlights.parametrek.com/index.html?led=Nichia 519A,Samsung LH351D&features=usb-c charging
Maybe also the Anduril diagrams in https://programming.dev/post/396489?
👋 I was a long-time reader of the other site but recently created accounts here and at BLF to contribute as well. Discovered Convoy there and resources such as https://tgreviews.com/grizzlys-convoy-guide, which led to placing a few orders via Aliexpress successfully. Now it’s a favorite brand.
These were purchased directly from the manufacturer via this official store: https://m.aliexpress.com/store/1100591265. Shipped from China to USA in about 3-4 weeks usually.
Thanks! Since the S21B supports 22mm drivers (unlike the S21A’s 20mm) it has a few more options, although this config was by request in the order notes.
As for 8A buck drivers, nowadays they are available in 17mm (as you mentioned) 22mm, and 20mm as well which I’m hoping to try (maybe mao S21A with sft40?)
Agreed. It seems like Convoy’s owner Simon pays close attention to previous sales when considering new products, and now they are offering multiple lights in copper and titanium as well as beginning to support Anduril (1) this year. So if the sales are there, I would expect and hope to see more new developments in this direction.
