I’m a massive newbie to everything fediverse so I’m a little confused what this means exactly. I’m not seeing any NSFW stuff, but I am logged in. However, my account is registered to a different instance. Does this post mean I should be logged into an account registered on the lemmynsfw instance? Or is the reason I’m not seeing the NSFW content separate from this?
It seems that my settings were all correct and it was working all along. At least if I visit gonewild I do see the posts. I was just confused that I’m not seeing NSFW posts in the lemmynsfw feed but I’m starting to think I’m just misunderstanding the fundamentals of lemmy. I’m still a little lost about how to navigate this universe, as it were. If I look at lemmynsfw all I see is informational posts like this one, no actual NSFW content at all. Am I supposed to go to communities within lemmynsfw? Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask these kind of questions by the way.
Sure but then they’d also need to calculate the risk of Musk or X exposing the lie that X is allowing pro-nazi content. If it’s such an obvious lie for the exposure in the media then there’s a massive risk of being called out and exposed. The bottom line is X loses revenue and credibility due to this article and now has a huge incentive to blow the lid off this supposed conspiracy to paint X as a bastion of hate. I don’t think two big companies would roll the dice on that at the same time as losing their investment by ending this ad campaign early.
Exactly, Covid is a variant of a pretty well known class of virusses. The research on mRNA vaccines was pretty advanced as far as I gathered but testing them in trials isn’t something you can easily do. There’s a lot of hoops to jump through to justify trials with human subjects. When the burden of disease isn’t very impactful it’s hard to justify trials. Once covid came screeching around the corner suddenly the justification was easy to argue.

It was surreal to realise that nobody there actually spoke any Spanish. Outside of the tourist traps Mallorca still has some authenticity here and there but it’s like the locals just hide in the shadows for the most part.

I was trying to point out how an act can be innocent in one context like your example of kissing your brother’s newborn on the forehead can be sexual in another context. Like kissing your female subordinate on the lips while holding her head with both hands. I’m baffled that you’re consistently missing the point here.
