Stopped using google search. Started using duckduckgo, brave, startpage, or SearXNG instead. Been using SearXNG the most.

I got the Merkur Mk34c and shaved a couple of times with it with the Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades. It feels bit to mild to me and not getting close enough compared to the old starter razorock starter safety razor I had got.

Is it an issue of technique or that the Astra doesn’t work as well with the Mk34c? Or should I look for another option?

It’s one reason I haven’t rushed to try out every lemmy app that has come out yet.

It doesn’t illuminate the same though ☹️ . Have a new phone with no LED and an old OnePlus phone I use as a back up with a dedicated LED.

Yes, being able to set different colors to show up depending on the app is so cool. Still an option in LineageOS with a section for Notification LED.

Check out realgm forums for sports. Was hard cutting off sports community on reddit, but realgm is active and been around for years.

Didn’t expect blades like the Kai and Feather to be so expensive, since I can get Astra 100 for around $8 versus $30ish for a pack of 100 for the rest.

In that case do you have a recommendation for a razer that works better with the astra that is in the price range of the Merkur 34c?

I think I know what you mean. I’ve hit a phase where time spent at work feels like wasted time, since it’s not time I got to spend doing something I wanted to be doing. Which is really contrary to the usual philosophy that time not spent money is wasted.

I’ve switched jobs gone back to school etc, but no matter what once something becomes a mandatory routine that time feels like a waste. I’m starting to really value and cherish the seconds I actually have control over.

Going to work is the difference between 15-20 minutes or 1 hour or longer with multiple bus changes.

Live in a place with shitty public transport and things being spread apart and unsafe drivers makes even bikes or motorcycles something I would not risk.

Aside from that benefit is in emergencies you can just leave right away without having to wait for someone to arrive at your destination, which I’ve had to do when I was taking care of a family member.

When you live in a place with crappy public transport no car means a loss of independence.
