Life Hack: Replace the ‘www’ part from the URL with ‘sh’. For example: replace
www.reddit.com/post1/...
with
sh.reddit.com/post1/...
It should be easy to write a script that replaces these URLs. This allows using reddit with my VPN (Mullvad) turned on. I don’t know why reddit offers such a workaround, but it works for me.

It was never the Green party shutting down nuclear reactors but the conservatives in reaction to Fukushima. One of them even threated to resign if this doesn’t happen. But now they blame it in the Green party because they are populists not caring about the truth. https://www.kuketz-blog.de/grapheneos-der-goldstandard-unter-den-android-roms-custom-roms-teil7/ This author made a series about custom roms (unfortunately only in German, but Firefox has a built in translation function) where he tested what data was sent in the first 24 hours of using the custom roms without installing any new apps or changing the settings. To summarize it: Most custom roms still build up a connection to some Google server (like a SUPL server for example) and some custom roms have rather bad security practices (like waiting for a month before rolling out security updates). GrapheneOS is the only custom rom that doesn’t connect to any google servers and has exceptional security (even better than Stock Android).
When I cleaning up my instagram account I wanted to delete all bookmarks. There was no button for “delete all”, so I also looked for a script. Then my account got suspended for like 2 weeks because its against their TOS to give such tools access to my account…
I’m generally willing to pay for a service (I donate to Open Source Projects I regularly use) because of course there are server costs, development costs, etc. But in this case and after all that Reddit has done to its user base it would be a very bad signal to give them money for it… I like Infinity for reddit and would love to have an Infinity for Lemmy
