Looks and feel great! But how is opening pictures by clicking on thumbnails or from inside posts not a thing yet? Please tell me it will happen with the next update

If the spacing is fixed, I would very much prefer to have the option to turn off “greying out” and keep the icon.

The reason is that the greyed out text is the exact same colour as the text at the bottom of the posts and the exact same colour as the divider between posts which is very thin anyways. That creates an area where it’s not easy on the eyes to discern differences between posts.

So either the greyed out text needs to change colour, or the text at the bottom (username, voting, instance etc) needs to change colour, or the divider needs to become more prominent (thicker, darker or similar).

That’s why I’m thinking maybe it’s easier to just have the option to toggle greying out and keep only the icon.

I was getting crazy here, opening a post and not finding a link inside. Please oh please, you got to fix this.

And it’s not only posts that are just a link as OP says, they can also contain text but the links just aren’t there

We all hope these are ‘baby’ issues with Federation that will be ironed out eventually.

It’s a strange behaviour though, because the instances sync but apparently not 100% or something? I have tried to figure out if all communities on a certain instance appear empty through Vlemmy, but it looks like most communities on said instance appear as expected and just a few don’t sync. For example, take lemmy.world or kbin.social. Not all communities on lemmy.world or kbin.social appear empty (as would be the case if those instances weren’t syncing with Vlemmy), just a handful.

So far, from the instances I have tried, only lemmy.world ‘sees’ all communities everywhere without issues but it has blown up with subscribers and it’s horribly stressed to its limits and slow, almost non usable

Yeah, sure, I think we can expect federation to be a bit off atm, that’s why we point out any issues to the devs, so they can improve functionalities if that’s something they can do.

If the counts for subscribers are local, I would expect every community of the same instance to have this issue but this is not the case. It’s also strange that some particular instances can federate everything correctly even though they are under extreme stress

Yeah, but it’s not just the comments. Number of subscribers also shows as 0 while it’s not
