I don’t know where this is headed, and no matter how I search my feelings, I find that I just don’t care.
Is ODDTAXI underrated? If so, then that definitely. It’s just quality all the way through.
And Estab-Life: Great Escape. Yeah - it’s sort of contrived, but it has so much heart and tells a satisfying story. And Equa is wonderful.
Whether it’s lopping off villains’ heads or slipping out of bed without waking the kids, Grey’s the man.
Yura’s awesome - I hope she becomes a regular.
Sometimes it seems that Sanda’s character growth is actually negative - that he’s just gotten more stupid and childish over time.
Okay, so I finally decided to see what this is all about, and am now in the process of catching up.
And I have a question that’s almost entirely unrelated to the manga, and not all that important either, but it’s driving me nuts.
I have a hazy memory of a manga character - female, I’m almost certain - latching onto and repeating the name Takakura Ken - like grabbing another character and shaking them and shouting “TAKAKURA KEN! TAKAKURA KEN!” More as a sort of nonsense phrase than as a name.
And I can’t for the life of me remember where that’s from. The character, IIRC, is a sort of manic boke - like Wada in Food Court de Mata Ashita or Kyoko in YuruYuri, but I’m pretty sure it’s neither of them.
And by the bye, this is a pretty good series. It’s sort of amusing that it started with that generally unbelievable premise of a shy otaku and a loud gyaru getting together, but then that rapidly became the least unbelievable thing about it. It’s as if the idea was as long as we’re going to make this unrealistic, let’s just go all in. And I’m all for it.
Pshew.
The Taira chapters are always hard for me to read - I know the circle in which he’s trapped all too well.
