I have been counting the days for it to come out, tbh. I’m very interested in getting a long-form history of the Korean War that isn’t Imperialist trash, because I think that if you can get people to at least sympathize with North Korea that’s a big milestone towards getting them to no longer see ML-States or Anti-Imperialist movements as “alien” or scary; but people put in a profoundly terrible situation largely by the efforts & intentions of American Cold-War Policy.

Whether or not a given person will sympathize with North Korea is also I think a good test generally, IMO.

I’m just saying it’s an ahistorical representation of the type of person who actually did that.

That’s fair enough, and I think I understand what you mean in that context. That’s also not really the part of the take that I was objecting to I guess. :shrug-outta-hecks:

It doesn’t change the fundamental problem (and yes I do think that this is a kind of problem) that everything is still ultimately, mainly determined by ones APM abilties.

IDK, I feel like that’s an incomplete proposition, to some extent at least.

The things that typically make for an “power-dynamic” in a relationship, like accumulated personal wealth, social experience, social networks & ones overall position in society are all to some extent or another correlated with age to some extent. But y’know, none of those are necessarily guarantees; at least not within the specific age-range specified in the post at any rate.

It would be fucking amazing to watch :melon-musk: get Lowtax’d.
