Sorry for the dirty emitter. I didn’t give it a clean up after the reflow.

Pretty straightforward. The driver is glued in, so I used debonder and pushed the driver out by pushing on the top of the driver through the switch hole with some needle nose pliers.

Outstanding! That is a very promising beam.

Ooh yeah that’s a goner. I wonder what happened. Usually it takes a lot of extended heat to do that and that would be hard to do given the way hank sets up his lights.

It could be anything from a driver fault to a short. Just replacing the led won’t be sufficient.
