I just did this. Beehaw acting stupid? Ok now I’m on lemmy.world. Just had to subscribe to the communities I like (a task that will later become trivial I’m sure). Only took a few minutes and I can move on with my day. Back reddit when the admins act stupid everything’s fucked. I like it here

Give it time. This app isn’t even beta yet. It’s got a ton of support though and they’ve been releasing updates a Lot.

Greed. It’s all driven by greed. It’s not just social media companies either. My best guess to why it’s happening now… The boomers are aging out and want to take every last bit they can squeeze out before they retire/die.

DOOM

I’m kinda in the same boat. Quit a toxic job and the thought of working a regular 40 hour wage slave job again makes me nauseous. I’m taking a crack at upwork and a few other options. With your skillset you could probably do well as a freelancer.

I’m just trying to jumpstart a new community with what I’ve got. As better content is added it will rise above. If you have something better to post please support this community by doing so.

Let them ban! It’s not like we’re going back after July 1st anyway!
