Is there a feature to send a read-only/static link to Lemmy pages?

I’m envisioning a pre-cached version of the page that is updated hourly or so, rather than querying the database live for every comment on the thread. In a perfect world, these could also be offloaded to a CDN as static pages…

Looking forward to the Patch Tuesday megathreads.

Likely need to define some basic rbac controls. They signed up, sure, but don’t receive a “user” role until after approval. Then in the home page, when signed in with no roles assigned, they get a banner saying they’re still pending approval and will not be able to post or comment.

The major concern will be retroactively applying user roles to the existing users.

Same issue, but only after using the app without restarting for a while. After closing the app it works as expected, but after several refreshes, it re-occurs.

Possibly not completely clearing the postTracker on a refresh action?

Or possibly not deduping new parsePosts results in the infinite loader before appending to postTracker (Infinite Loader.swift:55)?

Definitely second explicitly stating the “fully qualified” !community@instance for instances not in your home instance. Similarly, include the instance name when viewing the sidebar or other user’s profile for remote instances.

I would also very much like to see a share option added in posts and comments, with possible options to Copy Link and to Open in Safari. This could be available via an explicit share button, in an ellipsis/more menu, or via long press on a post or comment.

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It’s been a refreshing update on the Gundam formula. Demon Slayer continues to be great. I’ve somewhat fallen off of Dr. Stone this season, perhaps it feels a bit stale after the flashback episodes last season.

It’s a major departure from old school Gundam, the greatest criticisms of which were about insufferable children being thrown into war (looking at you, Camille).

However, the overarching themes and the world building were incredible, on par with the best of science fiction. It was formative for me in learning about Lagrangian points, mechanics and life support requirements of massive space colonies, and, of course, theorizing of the mechanics of war in space.

Very few of those themes are front and center, but they are omnipresent, and expanded on in supplementary materials, which I ate up as a youth.

Hey Fenix— FYI the duplication issue is easily reproducible using the “Active” view, especially on All.

Particularly around the posts regarding the Spez AMA.

Because technically, one server can host multiple instances. Instances are containerized— literally an instance of lemmy.
