Lobotomy corp is currently on sale at 66% off and as a massive Project Moon fan I am begging you to go buy and try it out.
It’s a management sim where you’re overseeing what is basically the SCP foundation, if instead of being a government organisation it was a hyper-capitalist corporation in a dystopia based on Korea’s chaebol system. It’s got two sequels, and one of them involves making characters from famous literary works fight said anomalies. It’s hard, it’s straight up horror at times, and you’ll have to kill your employees a lot. Play it like a rogue-lite: you keep all your info and items between runs
I get it’s funny if you like don’t really have a use for twitter, but it sucks in some ways because twitter is one of the few ‘global’ platforms. I can follow and keep up to date with artists over in Japan because a lot of them use twitter and that’s accessible to me. Remove twitter however and their main posting platform defaults to something like pixiv or niconico…which isn’t very open and receptive to anyone who isn’t a Japanese speaker. And I’m sure anyone from the west who has their head in more Chinese or Korean spheres is having the same issue…and vice versa. I know apparently sites like tumblr aren’t very popular over in Japan because of how it works and at least from what I’ve seen in the last few days, that’s becoming a lot of artist’s emergency second platform
I live up in one of the spots along the Norwegian coast where due to the gulf stream its unusually warm and one thing I’ve noticed is that its been getting harder to grow tomatoes. The thing about tomatoes is that they really don’t like frost. Historically it’s been that last frost was like mid-april and if you planted seedlings out right as soon as it started getting above zero at night, you’d be able to get a decent amount of fruit before things started getting below zero again in late September. Last few years however? Gulf streams been a bit…odd and we’ve been getting relatively late and early frosts. I think this year the last one was in mid-may? Of course it’s also been unusually hot which puts you in this weird and annoying position where you need to find plants that can tolerate hotter summers while at the same time being able to take a few -0 nights during the end of their growing season
Also I’m originally from Aus and holy shit bushfire season just gets worse every year. I remember Black Saturday being kinda a wakeup call for me back when I lived there and seeing it repeat ten years later was kinda horrifying
If you’re looking for watertightness and optical clarity, have you considered looking at Taulman T-glase? One of it’s advertised features is that it has very little thermal shrinkage and can be tuned to be watertight for FDA approved food purposes. It’s PETT not PETG but that’s not too different from PETG IIRC. I’ve personally been looking to get a hold of some for my own 3d printed fountain pen experiments
Also there’s a chance it might be an issue with the sliced model itself, not your filament settings. Cura can do some funky things sometimes with holes
huh? What’s tumblr got to do with this? Is this about Automattic adding the ability to connect up Tumblr accounts to the fediverse? Because you do know that isn’t the same as the Threads situation right?
It’s very probably going to function like how Wordpress and ActivityPub already functions - as a way to let people look at and interact with your blog from a Mastodon or other instance. And if Wordpress is anything to go by it’ll also probably be limited to self hosted/paid accounts rather than something that everyone can have so the bot/spam/ghost account worry is kinda moot
I got sent to some nutjob’s site where he tells you all about the superior space technology NASA refuses to use called slingshotting the rockets into space. I say nutjob because most of his site is dedicated to conspiracy theories and holy shit it’s still active he’s even got a youtube now
More fun and innocent - Speculative biology! Hell yeah weird alien turtle dinosaurs! Actually pretty cool and I think still active? The illustrations are really neat
Also hilariously, I also found a site all about finding interesting web 1.0 pages which even links to what you’ve linked. It’s also full of tips and tricks on how to recreate that web 1.0 jank on your own blog!
