These kinds of discussions are between corporations who have defined SLA’s that specify things like reliability, uptime, etc. It’s likely this outage breached this agreement so the lawyers of the companies are discussing internally and behind closed doors. This kind of thing doesn’t get reported on in general.

Because you’re not rich and powerful enough to have lawyers and public influence sway the judge to be more lenient to you.

“The tragedy in Gaza is 100% on Hamas,” Fetterman wrote on social media with a screengrab of a Hill headline outlining Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks. “Stop using civilians and hospitals as shields, surrender, and release all remaining hostages—and this ends.”

What a dismissive piece of shit.

We gotta start saying her name man. It’s like working with a new person who you call orange as a joke since that’s what they wore on their first day but you just keep it up because you’re too shy to ask their name.

He’s 100% correct. This failure is a failure of the DNC to actually pay attention to what the voters want.

Meta’s revenue is in the tens of billions. This fine isn’t even a rounding error for them. This isn’t something that should be taken so lightly.

Essentially, the new law will mean that storefronts like Steam will no longer be able to use terms such as “buy” or “purchase” when advertising a game that always requires an online connection. Since you won’t technically own the product and servers being taken offline would render the product useless, a different word will have to be used.

The official phrasing in the bill’s summary reads, it will “prohibit a seller of a digital good from advertising or offering for sale a digital good, as defined, to a purchaser with the terms buy, purchase, or any other term which a reasonable person would understand.”

That’s actually a very good reason IMO.

The last sentence is fucked up. If you’re running over hundreds of people how in the fuck do you know they are terrorists. These people are intentionally and knowingly committing war crimes then come back home and cry about how this all made them so sad.
