Either something is wrong with your setup, or your hardware. Make sure that you’re running the right drivers and that you aren’t accidentally running on your onboard graphics instead of your dedicated GPU.
Check the general Linux gaming boards, and doublecheck by installing Steam and loading up something heavier from your library if you have any.
Having just finished a DRM unencumbered version of Returnal by the excellent “LinuxRulez!” (linux repacks with all the trimmings) i can tell you that what you’re experiencing isn’t normal.
The only thing missing is the “this side towards enemy” sticker.

Having been there, the part that i’m not seeing much on is the all-out warfare.
Near the end everyone got so goddamn fed up, that we just downvoted everything that wasn’t a direct rebuke of the god-awful redesign (and upvoted some of the most rancid shit you ever did see).
People were stalking the new queues and just nuking everything from orbit.
Got so bad that they had to actively pull in RSS feeds (with downvote special exemptions) just to have something, ANYTHING that wasn’t “FUCK THIS SHIT” or a goatse man, so people just went into the comments to do battle.
Won’t reach that “burn everything” stage just yet, but by golly are they trying…
Having finished ToTK on PC (and on Linux no less) using Yuzu, i have to give a big shoutout to the Yuzu team.
They’re doing fantastic work, and these reports are a very welcome touch (well and funnily written, and very informative)!
I’ve tried hard to get into this podcast, but in the end I just couldn’t (lasted about 20 episodes).
This is coming from someone who does an annual rewatch of all the trek series.
Mcneil just sounds permanently bored with it, and Wang tries very hard to sell it but just gives off car salesman vibes the whole time.
It feels soul-less and unenthusiastic, a product they’re selling, with A LOT of content locked behind a “paywall”.
Real shame. Harry and Tom were my some of my favorite Voyager characters.
Here’s hoping Shimerman and Farrel can improve the quality and feel.
