I do it all the time, mostly because of the DRM shenanigans you mentioned.
Also ripping ROMs from consoles is usually a pain in the ass compared to just downloading them, so I always pirate those, even if I own the game.
I should really play Hollow Knight. It’s been on my radar forever. I don’t play a lot of Metroidvanias, but I have played some old Castlevania games and Super Metroid.
Opt in should really be the default, especially with how popular Steam Decks are
If we’re going to take the meme literally, I tend to not like it when men try to explain something to me that I already know a lot about. It happens A LOT (especially with technical stuff), and it usually comes off as a condescending lesson rather than two people sharing a passion with each other in a conversation.
