That seems pretty plausible to me. If you can have two way communication with a TV/monitor over say HDMI, why not implement that?

Though I suspect the answer may be that it’s no longer really worth trying to implement it at this point.

I’m on meow.social, it’s a good instance but it is quite large and is near the limits of what it can handle, I believe. The Fediverse does better spread across smaller instances.

I signed up about five years ago back when it was smaller; then snouts.online went down, and a lot of users migrated to meow.

@bristle If you follow @tech, that’s basically how you subscribe. It will boost all posts and comments made within the community, so you can see them.

I am not a fan of it boosting every comment from every post, but that’s actually required in order for those comments to federate to Mastodon (otherwise, you just wouldn’t see any comments from the Mastodon side).

@SabreMc So this is an upcoming Mastodon feature, I’m told when I asked earlier – they are apparently adding the ability to follow an account but hide it from your home feed, and only have it in a list. I want this feature too.

Interesting – on Mastodon, I can’t see the image that is embedded in your post. But of course, it shows up on pawb.social itself.

Likewise, I don’t think Lemmy will display media that is attached to a toot. For example, I’ve attached an image to this post. Can you see it?
