One of my best friends is out of town celebrating her birthday and she just messaged me asking, “Hey can you help me real quick?”

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“Can you lend me $100 and I can pay you back tomorrow?”

I’m so confused. Between her and her husband, they make over $100k a year, and I’m one of the most chronically poor people she knows. Like, I bring home $1600 a month and barely make it work, and she knows that. It just felt really weird and suspicious, idk.

Edit: Her husband just posted that her Messenger account got hacked. So my suspicions were correct.
