There’s a lot of reasons. Single people can spend a lot on tech without thinking. People have lot of money. People don’t like their current phone. I say let them spend and keep the companies in business. If all of us stopped buying phones every year and only bought once in 4-5 years, the companies producing phones will have to shut down sooner or later and we’d have just one or two left. I only upgraded recently after 6 years because the phone OS was too old and the cpu was like snail.
Some really old ubuntu version running in a folder in my windows partition. It kept crashing and uninstall was just removing the folder. Another os was beos which ran from a folder too.
As an Indian, this article would have fit nottheonion. The guy speculating this must be high on something really strong enough to make an elephant sleep soundly for a few days, to put it mildly.
I doubt it. The Indian subs moved elsewhere (squabbles.io?) and the ones on lemmy world or other instances are not official. Most are staying back on reddit. If you feel there’s too much Indian news you can limit it.

They’ll make everyone work like slaves and when payment time comes, they could easily change the rules to avoid paying out too much. They’ll change rules and blame the content creators for it.
There’s a tv presenter on NHK Japan wearing these dresses. She does the Japan railway journal show with a university professor. Gorgeous dresses imo. Too bad they went out of fashion.
Yup, if your phone region is set to India, Redmi phones start installing lot of useless apps. I used some universal Android debloater on GitHub to remove all the spyware apps. Even disabled miui update, since it is the main reason these apps are installed.
looks like everyone is ranting or talking about a hundred topics at the same time. like you went into a room where everyone is talking to themselves. not my type of place to be in.
