A Wandering Gent
I stopped using Reddit a while ago but loved the idea. Decided to give Lemmy a go as it’s part of the Fediverse. My hobbies include Gaming, Creative Writing, Walking, Reading, Movies, Anime/Manga.
I agree with Beehaw’s decision, until moderation tools are strong like on Mastodon to quell targeted hate spam and other such 4chan level trash…They have every right to defederate Lemmy and any instance that compromises the wellbeing of their community. I do hope these issues which have caused this situation are resolved overtime. I’d donate to help the effort. Decentralized social media feels like the future of how we interact with others with internet-based communication. It needs support to get off the ground and run faster than sites like Facebook or Twitter.
I’m still waiting for the OTA, since I got the last Pixel Feature Drop early…I’ll be last in line this time. I’m excited for the Emoji Workshop feature, the options for generating cute wallpapers delightful!
I’ll only look at Reddit without an account now. Lemmy might be a new place for me to interact with communities…However, I find Mastodon to be a lot better for engagement.
I’ll wait for the reviews for Starfield before I decide if I purchase the game. Bethesda has a rocky history with new game launches, I usually wait at least 6 months before buying one of their games. So at least it will be patched enough to be playable without game breaking issues…
Customization is the main draw for Android Phones, particularly Samsung Phones as Samsung is leading the Theme game at least to me. Right now, I’m rocking a Google Pixel, but Google offers decent enough customization options that I don’t miss Samsung phones terribly much. The second thing is that I dislike Apple’s Walled Garden with passion. I’ll recommend their phones to people based on their needs; Personally, I will never own an iOS Device. The lack of customization of icons and the like is a hard pass from me.
