Ugh, Beehaw denied my registration so I guess just can’t get their content anymore.

I’ve got to say I’m really frustrated with this. Beehaw ignored or denied my registration so I joined here, spent time curating a feed and now I guess I lose out on a substantial amount of that?

Which server is going to cut off my stuff next?

Profoundly frustrating and discouraging. I don’t know what server to recommend to people so that they can get the most content.

I find it really frustrating to build up a feed of content, only to lose it when moderator fights begin. What servers are next? Which one do I join to get the most content?

I want this to succeed but I don’t know how I can recommend it to people today, since they’re going to ask the same questions.

I think they’re pretty serious about the last essay part.

Are you familiar with peertube? I’m not suggesting it’s going to replace YouTube but it’s kind of neat that there’s at least one open source platform that you can self host video on. But I agree, the scale issue is huge. All I can foresee is a world where we have a lot of different little sites. Not sure if that’s better but YouTube has a total stranglehold.

Oh sure, I agree with you there. For video I don’t see how you can get away from a deeply capital-influenced project because it still requires such tremendous resource scaling.
