I once was at a bar the night before new years eve. The bar was packed. I’m usually a pretty heavy tipper at the bar, but this night, the bartender taped signs to their back that said, “doesn’t anyone know what 20% is?”

I closed my tab, tipped 0, and told the manager I stiffed their staff upstairs because they were being pricks.

I work for an international conglomerate. One of our major pieces of internal software is SUSAN named after the guys wife. I’ll never remember his name, but his wife will always be in my mind

I honestly have no idea what they stand for. Their posts are so confusing and non coherent. I’m sure a lot of it is because sarcasm doesn’t work with text unless you have context. But without context, all it comes across as is a bunch of trolls who just love to hate

A part of that real estate equation is that the municipalities give tax breaks to the companies because they anticipate the extra people in the area getting them more money from gas stations, lunches, etc. Those contracts usually state that the building needs to have a certain occupancy for them to maintain the credit… and now municipalities are coming knocking for their back taxes since buildings haven’t been full.

I honestly don’t know how people do it. When my wife’s out of town for a week, nothing gets done beyond basic survival. I don’t have time to do any other chores, and I only work 1 job.

We have a saying in the brewing community, “don’t yuck someone else’s yum.” Everyone has different tastes. Let them enjoy it even if you don’t. It’s not hurting anyone. And that goes beyond beer
