Philadelphia, PA, USA. We don’t boil it, but I have a filter on the tap. The drinking water here is safe, but it smells funny, and my family filtered the water even back when we lived somewhere with better tasting water.
Motorola One 5G Ace.
Every time I’ve had to get a new phone, I’ve gone on GSMArena and to me it always seems Motorola’s midranges have the best bang for your buck, at least in my price range. I kinda don’t like how they promised Android 12 and didn’t deliver, but I’ve heard some things that make me think that’s a blessing in disguise. Even if I could go iPhone, I wouldn’t, I like having control that Apple won’t allow me. I probably wouldn’t go more expensive if I could either (there’s a part of me that wants a Razr for coolness reasons, but I know foldables are still super fragile)
Fighting games. I wasn’t too surprised not to find communities for specific fighting games (other than Guilty Gear which I don’t like) but no general community either?
A non-pornographic femboy and/or femboy discussion community (a pornographic one exists.) I’m still deciding whether I want to go back to Reddit or not and the thing that almost prompted me to go back right then and there was wanting to ask a question about fitting into women’s clothes. This I think might be too niche to be useful on anything other than a big site.
I use Adblock because YouTube has too many ads, and anywhere else makes me feel like I’ll get malware if I turn it off.
This is why intelligent people can be so fucking stupid.
That has more to do with the fact that “smart” in a general sense doesn’t really exist. Having a PhD in Chemistry doesn’t give you any authority in Psychology. Similarly, someone can be widely considered genius but also someone who shouldn’t make any political decisions.
Does the 87% include school buses or were people who took the school bus a bigger outlier than I thought?
When I get a hoagie sometimes I get both tomato sauce and honey or honey mustard. It’s a surprisingly good sauce combo. It tends to take on the texture of tomato sauce but the flavor of honey mustard
Vaguely progressive (I live in the USA, I think country is usually important when discussing ideology)
I believe in crushing the Christian theocrats, building back up social safety nets including universal healthcare, wealth taxes, gun control but not an outright gun ban (some people from other countries, often Canadians and Finns, think they have a gun ban when they do not,) active efforts to improve relations with Mexico and Canada, I think the government doesn’t do enough to prepare for a post-US hegemony world, I think we should de-escalate with China, we should reduce the need for personal car usage, and…I don’t have anything that even resembles a policy proposal here but we need to combat enshittification (it is embarrassing that the most effective regulatory body against US tech companies is the European Union.) Also Mark Zuckerberg should be on death row.
