That show was such a joy to watch.
Don’t forget Trump has only ever won once - in 2016 - and even then he lost the popular vote by 3 million. Every single major race since then - the 2018 midterms, the 2020 presidential election, the 2022 midterms - he or his endorsed candidates either outright lost or failed to live up to expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as anxious as anybody else and I’ll believe it when I see it, but if I were to place a bet I’d bet he’s going to lose yet again.
Perhaps you moved from Europe to the States in the interim like I did.
Edit to add: sorry if this came off as snarky, was not my intention. Just wanted to point out that it’s not always so clear-cut. I created my Reddit account in 2008 when I lived in the Netherlands. Then I moved to the US in 2016 and became a citizen in 2019.
Nice work OP! Can you name a few of those 70s/80s Euro space comics you like best? Would love to check some out.
Navalny most certainly wasn’t stupid. He understood what he was getting into when he got on that flight back to Russia. My guess is that he hoped his arrest and detention would spark an uprising, which sadly didn’t materialize.
I would not have made the choice he did, but I’m also not as brave as he is. Fuck Putin.
