Specific subs for shows because I like reading episode discussions, often someone catches something I missed that gives more context or they catch clues and foreshadowing. Theories too. Or just seeing if anyone else had same thoughts I did! I think it will be a long time before lemmy is big enough to be close to that, and will probably only be newer shows.
Also just the sheer volume of content produced every day. I’ll hold strong though and not give reddit any traffic. Reddit was fantastic as a lurker, posting most anywhere large felt like whispering into a void. Lemmy is great for actually participating, I think it will be a long time yet until it’s as fun for lurking.
Contact cases are great for things like moisturizer, foundation, primer, eye cream!! I especially liked it for foundation because I know I use no more than 1 full pump a day so I just count the pumps for how many days I’m gone.
For something that needs a little more volume I buy little jars for $1 at target but I’ve also saved anything that comes in a jar or tub such as lip scrubs, eye cream, lip masks. I hang onto them after they are used up.
For shampoo I bought the little 3oz travel squeeze bottles and hang onto them. I use them up when I get home and save it for my next trip.
Thank you that is a great start! I have quite a few saved memes to start contributing as well. It doesn’t seem quite the same so I hope we have something else soon. I would be a terrible mod and still confused by most of this fediverse thing otherwise I would make what I want to see.
While that’s true for over the counter migraine meds which are usually just an NSAID or Tylenol with caffeine, I suspect OP is referring to the preventative RX medication you take every single day and takes a long time (months, irrc) to see if it has any improvement. Which is why it’s interesting that it helps! I wonder if that’s a known benefit.
Also OP hope it helps with your migraines too! They are horrific. And if you’re able and need a rescue/acute med when you do have please talk to doctor about if triptans would work for you. Not recommended for people with Aura headaches or on SSRIs but they work great if you can take them.
Dude idk. I love challenging view points for basic things but the challenging view points I’ve seen here are sketching me out way more than reddit ever did. And I’m just stumbling on them trying to find new communities or from front page. And they aren’t Nazis type things either. Sympathy for other governments. Ignoring or outright forbidding criticism of other governments.
I think it is one thing to disagree and discuss aspects of laws and society and how to fix problems etc but so far I don’t see that here. I still see a same divide it’s just more world focused now and not "are you racist or willing to tolerate racists because reasons " that has been most of US politics on reddit for years now (and imo rightfully so)
Basically be wary of what you see right now. I’m a liberal too and don’t mind challenging my beliefs and often re-evaluate them but here… so far all that has lead me to is being more alarmed because it feels more innocuous and if I was just a little bit less aware of certain things I could feel myself slipping into it. Oh and they present themselves as liberal.
As for American politics sure. I haven’t seen any nazis yet and haven’t yet. I think ive heard plenty enough from the other side over the last 10 years though I would love to hear something new but haven’t yet. Sorry for the ramble.
