I’m fully moved in to the new place and for the first in 10years have my drum kit set up. I’m extremely rusty but im practicing every day and doing a lesson plan of my own design every other day. Also dug out the sm57, and my line6 toneport. Now that I have a room for a studio I want to get in there as regular as possible and get to that rapid resumable state of creativity. Unpacking and work have kept my pace low but I am getting there. Picked up Ovox from waves to have something to play with on the daw and to stick-and-carrot myself through my current front-burner jingle. Be well!

Great work. You’ve got several tracks going and a groove! I can feel the pulse. My advice is to just keep making stuff. I find that it helps me when I pick one main thing I am going to try to do with a piece and everything else is optional just for the purposes of staying focused on learning. Try transposing something but start small. Do a solo or a lick from something you like. In no time you’ll be filling all eight tracks and doing structured pieces. Then after that there is more to do!

I didn’t have what it took to be successful in college despite everyone constantly telling me I was smart enough. Now I’m a forklift driver at a plastic factory. Should I feel badly that I don’t contribute more to society? I kinda feel like I should after reading your comment.
