Shodan, just got promoted in December. Then I broke my leg in January and am still healing.

He didn’t have nearly enough weapons, manpower, supplies, etc. to successfully take Moscow, so I don’t know if anyone (including himself) really knows what he was intending.

Unfortunately, the easiest way to get out of jury duty is to be a scientist, engineer, or lawyer. No attorney with half a brain wants anyone of those three professions to be on a jury deciding the fate of their client.

If you truly believe in jury nullification, you won’t mention it to the judge or prosecutor though…

I’ve been slowly working my way through Stargate, midway through season 3 right now. It’s almost refreshing how shamelessly they reuse old Star Trek plots and tropes, but it kind of works because the show doesn’t seem to take itself as seriously as Star Trek does either.

The Vorkosigan Saga by Bujold is considered to be some of the best space opera in the entire genre, definitely recommend giving it a try. Start with Warriors Apprentice if Shards of Honor isn’t to your liking.

Started around age forty about 7 years ago. Just got shodan in December, then broke my leg a few weeks later :( Still recovering, hoping to try to get back on the mat this fall.
