I’m surprised there is strong support to the protest. But obviously there will always be people who lick boots.
I’m long time Redditor. I don’t like what Reddit admins are doing. I use RIF on mobile. While still not sure if I’m moving here, I’m close to. This place needs work. A bit slow and disorganized. Hope we can help it.
No, I don’t think there is anything good to it only hurt. Would you rather know after raising someone as a kid for decades?
Web design is important. It’s part of grievances against reddit with the app and old reddit. It took me awhile to accept new Reddit design.
With Lemmy my biggest issues:
Often slow to respond and sometimes return undeclared error (just html value,.etc). Likely due to traffic coping.
A bit harder to navigate, I’m not sure yet how to go to kbin and join. When I search I get meta.
Though this place is very promising attempt compared to past ones.
Translation: we rely on you to make money give me more money, money now .
It’s a good thing but also might not be good if hosting costs become unsustainable. I hope we can cope.
A lot of IT companies do that, they probably write a lot of documentation and hold meetings and do studies and quality checks. One person could skip all those steps but might be harder for another developer to continue their work depends though.
So we hate 9gags here too?
Too early to judge. Wait a month at least
Common problem with IT companies they overgrow themselves under false optimism and the urgent need to innovate to keep up with competition. It doesn’t help when a bro who once had a good idea is tasked with leading the company. If they actually only did minimum like craigslist they might make a lot more profits but might eventually fail. But not worse than now.
