¯_(ツ)_/¯
It’s clear that something is going on. At least for Reddit and Twitter, they need to make money. They’ve made that pretty obvious but it is curious why now. Facebook and others didn’t seem to have this issue. YouTube sounds like google just Google
I’m not sure how Lemmy will last if it grows massively. But I’m here for a good time not a long
As long as its a true remake, like Resident evil 4 and such, then im kinda pumped. I know its a little creatively bankrupt but its one of my favorite of the series and would love to see it with todays technology. and maybe some expanded ship gameplay elements
Never had Twitter to begin with but it was useful for seeing current events and comments. But ngl, kinda love watching it and musk go down in flames
Yeah I’m much more forgiving for this platform when it just had a crazy influx of users. In fact, I’m actively participating more because I feel like my voice matters a little bit more then it did on Reddit and I want to see this community thrive
Yea it’s a little jarring at first and I didn’t get it for a bit. I’m seeing it now and how it all comes together. The instances are like smaller ‘Reddits’ that you can have different communities or ‘subreddits’. So you can have a Apple community in Lemmy.World or Lemmy.ml or other places. The cool thing is that with your one account you can access all the different places without having to make a new account
I think the big 3rd party app developers leaving Reddit and coming on here will be a huge boon. Most hardcore power users use the 3rd party apps once we have some great options it will be even better
