DecSync CC is an app that stores calendar / tasks / contacts as files on the phone. You can sync them to other devices. I use it to sync our family calendar and contacts in our household. No clouds involved.

Can’t say the same myself unfortunately. The community was one of the main reasons I moved to Gentoo. I’ve had so many bad encounters on the Arch IRC channel, they often made me feel like a complete idiot for not knowing certain things. On Gentoo on the other hand the community has very knowledgeable people but they don’t feel ‘elitist’ about it and are in fact very kind and helpful.

You COULD probably do it like this if you want to gain experience with ansible. Otherwise it’s total overkill. Just write down a list of must-have apps that you currently use and install them manually in the new system. It’s always a nice opportunity to start fresh and clean.
