It doesn’t sound like a purely cut down version of the game. I get the sense this will have more substantial environment/gameplay changes made than the existing mode, which mostly wraps vr controls over the original game.
I’m not surprised eye tracking and adaptive triggers won’t work on PC, but no HDR is unfortunate. I doubt any pcvr games have HDR right now but first we need a capable headset.
I don’t reencode anything, I keep the raw bdmv rip and remuxed mkv for jellyfin. Even if the difference is imperceptible, as long as I have the storage space there’s no reason to spend time fiddling with conversion when it can only make things look worse.
I haven’t used GM since studio, but support for other languages than GML is cool to see
I’ve had this running for a few months on my server. The interface feels less polished than I’d like, but I really like how thorough it is with different backup methods. It also allows you to stick other files in the snapshot dir to attach them to the page, which I use for linked downloads.
I like being to leave a pair of headphones in my bag without having to worry about charging or pairing when I switch devices.
Interesting that they’re using a chain lift to emulate a launch, I always thought cable lifts were faster. Hopefully this doesn’t detract from the ride at all
