Perhaps ironically, I’ve been enjoying interacting with #Lemmy communities and posts just using my Mastodon account via my instance’s default web app. It of course doesn’t offer the full range of options a native Lemmy app would, but it lets me engage using the account and apps I’m already familiar with.

I’m on Beehaw, but also subscribe to some communities (most notably the Memes community) from lemmy.ml. And I normally try to respond to things from my Mastodon account on darkfriends.social.

Oh no worries on that, I did. Luckily the drive I was replacing was just for media, not for the OS, but I decided to go with a 2.5” SATA drive for it. My OS drive and games drive were both already NVME M.2 drives.

Speaking of slow computers though, I recently reinstalled MacOS on an iMac from like 2012… It was excruciatingly slow, even just to boot into the OS. I do not miss those days.

That feels about right for how long it took that one. I don’t have any idea what more modern macs are like - that 2012 one is the only one I’ve ever worked on, and it wasn’t for personal use. I suspect that if it had an SSD it would have gone faster.

I use Storygraph for tracking my TBR and what I’m reading. I used to go to Goodreads for this, but got sick of just how cluttered the website was. Storygraph does everything I care about for such a tool, in a design that is clean and functional and doesn’t get in my way.
