I started with Blender because that was what I was familiar with. It was horrible. I quickly switched to openscad but mostly these days I use Fusion 360. The free version is a pain but it’s an incredibly powerful tool compared to the open source alternatives I’ve tried.

Functional programming in C++ is just a few classes and macros. Real masochism would be functional programming in C.
