Thursday seems about right. I resorted to creating a kbin account first, but now that I find out that doesn’t work with Voyager, I’m on Lemmy.world now.

Thursday to Sunday is 4 days now. You’d think someone would at least put up a message on lemmy.one.

I hope this isn’t what brought down lemmy.one, I’m seeking refugee status from them. :)

Good luck!

For me, I only drive 1-2 days a week, tops.

Yeah, we do the smart thermostat thing… but also…

We put up solar panels. We generate enough of our own electricity to cover the house and feed back credits to the grid.

Our electric bill is about $13 a month now to cover taxes and fees.

I don’t think there’s any argument about it, but there is one key problem and that is, outside of impeachment, there is no provision in the Constitution to do it.

Alito is absolutely right on that point, which means the only way to do it is through an amendment and we are simply too divided to get either an amemdment or a full convention passed.

I mean, he’s not wrong. Congress CAN impeach, but not when the Senate needs 60 votes to do anything.

But in order to change that, we’d need either an amendment or a Constitutional Convention, which would need 67 votes in the Senate… sooo… yeah… Nothing is going to happen.

“Carlos De Oliveira works for you, yes?”

“Well, I have a lot of people working for me, I don’t really…”

“Carlos De Oliveira speaks to you directly in regard to his duties at Mar a Lago, yes?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“And so does Yuscil Taveras, yes?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“So when Carlos De Oliveira went to Yuscil Taveras and said ‘The Boss wants the servers deleted’, who, if not you, would be ‘The Boss’?”

“. . .”

Doesn’t help that lemmy.one appears to be completely dead now. :(

I had to set up lemmy.world and kbin.social accounts.

Edit Lemmy.one is back! The instance went down while the owner was out of town!

Thanks! It was a bunch of overhead work running power and zip ties to make it all look good, man my arms are tired!

Failing to make contributions to its pension and health insurance plans was a HUGE red flag. I hope someone is looking to make sure they’re up to date on things like payroll taxes.
