That’s hilarious. Can’t say I’m surprised by the hostility – the articles from The Verge seem to be very favorable towards the protestors, third-party apps, etc.

Similarly, I was initially skeptical when Robert Pattinson was announced for The Batman. But I thought he did a fantastic job!

I doubt anyone’s under the impression that Tyson is doing this for anything other than greed/capitalism. But I’ll be curious to see how well (or not well) this new product does. I can’t imagine that most vegans will want to buy this; is the casual/plant based/curious market large enough for the product to do “well”?

I can see why you would think that, but that wasn’t the case. It was genuinely about giving up something meaningful for Lent, strange as it was.

I had an ex that wanted to take a break for a bit because they wanted to “give me up” for Lent. They said I was the most important thing to them at the time, so it was kind of sweet and romantic…but definitely strange as well.
