I think it should be made public. As much useful info as possible should be migrated and then privatized on July 1st with a link to lemmy.

I’ve seen a couple posts myself with multiple images imbedded in the post. No idea how they did it.

I feel the link system is stronger. They could discover the tool and add it to their scraper, but having it follow one link and use another is likely harder for them to accomplish.

I bought a 10ft braided cable from five below and it’s been going strong for 4 years or so now.

The two types of instances people should seek to defederate from are ones for fascism and abusers. I know a lot of the Loli(and I presume Shota) defenses are claims that these characters only have childlike bodies. I disagree personally though. In any anime I’ve seen a Lolita character, they also behave like a child. They may claim she’s a 2000 year old vampire, but she’s acting like a child. That character is an abuser fantasy. They want to take advantage of that ignorance. There are probably plenty of people who like that body type innocently, but I believe there are many more who’s intentions are vile to say the least.

We might as well embrace this name. If lemmy does become a reasonable competitor to any social media, the CEO’s will be pushing to call us that anyway…

Definitely this for me as well. Glenn was my favorite character, and this fight is the pinnacle of his story.

My biggest concern with this, is that it may keep many people from joining us / leaving reddit, as they also will have a knee jerk reaction, but won’t bother to look any further into it.

This really depends on what you mean. It’s one thing to make a single post complaining about an instance, or messaging a mod once to plead your case. If they’re making repeated posts hoping one will catch, or campaigning a mods inbox though, probably, yeah.
