I had created an account almost 3 years ago. This reddit API apocalypse reminded me of lemmy. Considering, the subpar experience. It would be stupid to not be on lemmy. I still have my reddit account and posts but, after the blackout and the subpar experience my activity has been super reduced.
You can install an app called galaxymaxhz. It can add dynamic refresh rate scalling so your display runs at 60hz when idle or playing video and at 120hz when interacting with the ui. You can also set a routine which disables 120hz when running apps like youtube, Netflix, etc. That should help with the battery effects of always running at 120hz
As an extensive user of Sync let me say.
The ability to customize change layout, Twitter previews in posts, ability to open comments, subreddits in windows.
It’s ability to cache comments/threads/videos. So, if android decides to kill Sync due to limited resources I can start where I left instead of having every thing reload from scratch. And lots more. The dynamic Material you theme and the beautiful UI should not be forgotten.
It’s multi windows feature with its caching feature made it indisputable for me. I had anywhere from 3-6 windows or more active to jump back in anytime. If he brings that to lemmy it would make interacting with lemmy that much more awesome. Waiting to see what’s he got in store for us.
Here’s a screenshot to show what I mean by multi windows:
Considering the poor treatment of Android users. I would leave 1 star reviews and delete the app for good.
Nothing. Life’s beautiful, enjoy while it lasts. Sit back, relax, enjoy, have fun. It’s too short to be wasted worrying about things to be optimistic about.
Browsing the internet without content filters(adblock) is like going through a dungeon naked without armor. Too many risks which are not worth it.
I use Adguard and ublock origin. There’s too much tracking, ads, crapware and even malware if you choose to not install one.
Even the FBI recommends to install an adblocker. https://www.standard.co.uk/tech/fbi-recommends-ad-blocker-online-scams-b1048998.html

Ability to make your tech into anything like making your smartwatch upgraded to super max with tech not available today. Imagine hundreds of terabytes of storage, ram, super computing in your fingertips. Ability to have tech which can do anything from anywhere. Ability to travel places faster than conventional methods.
Think super sophisticated tech. My first older of business would be creating Artificial Super Intelligence.
