Team K includes Kermit, a frog (which eats bugs).
I remember using a script as a solution, so I’d be a gonner!
Ok, but Bluetooth is a well known issue for Linux. I know because I had to look it up for myself, and learn some commands to write a script from scratch to reset the USB when needed. -I almost discarded the bluetooth if I hadn’t tested it in Windows first (Linux can cost us money in many ways). It’s also a generally accepted issue commonly posted about. Anecdotes like ‘it works on my system’, ‘all my games play’, ‘doesn’t crash for me’ aren’t really contributing like an article from a reputable site comparing the issue, and anecdotes just come across as brigading, being overly defensive.
Thanks.
I’m ok with them simply making a point or correcting errors.
Not sure what to do about the down-doots because I’d like this to be more welcoming to critics (or the sub topic). I was never a fan of the Karma system. People who can’t argue a point, or simply want to avoid karma trashing themselves abuse it. I practically gave up on reddit alternatives because they all adopted the same major problem with reddit.
I’m trying to deter people from using promotional phraises like ‘I use Arch, btw’. I know it was probably sarcasm, but it can throw me off, cause inconsistency, and I’m not good at remembering names. -Did recognize yours (this time), thanks for your contributions!
OP seemed kinda harsh on devs considering ‘free’, but we’re also talking about something set up as opposition that isn’t really fair competition in a capitalist market. -Rather it kills real competition. Communism fails due to no incentive.
We don’t have to know you’re a ‘linux user’. If you start out a post ‘as a Linux user’ - it’s going to be more scrutinized or likely to be removed for example. Most people here on either side of the fence likely have Linux experience. If your intention is to promote Linux in anyway here, you shouldn’t feel welcome. It’s not that I want an echo chamber, its that we have enough Linux propaganda echo chambers out there already (even infesting Windows subs on reddit) and want a more welcoming community for criticism than people having to deal with evangelists and their shenanigans twisting the direction and vision of the community.
As you may have noticed, I’ve thanked people for posting solutions to Linux issues and even updooted them myself (evident on the spelling meme with the capital D for downloads). I’m generally not removing things that simply go over my head, or plain rebuttals either. If a meme is wrong or a tad excessive, I have no problem with it being pointed out (I’d even caution people from believing in memes as many use memes because they’re harder to verify for not having copy / paste-able text (I use Copyfish often for this reason)).
Better to provide some evidence in rebuttals as I don’t like anecdotes ( like: works on my system, never crashed for me, plays all my games) being used as if they’re rebuttals to data, and other resources.
Hope this clears things up, and Thanks for your questions!
Krita is an art / painting program. -Not designed for photo editing. It’s also from KDE so expected to be buggy: https://www.qwant.com/?q=krita+buggy&t=web
Some of us just want to get work done instead of tolerate and trouble shoot *admittedly buggy foss software.
Yep, typical KDE software: https://www.qwant.com/?q=kdenlive+buggy&t=web
