I forget which philosopher said this but he said something along the lines of if you have the desire and the capacity for an action you do, then deterministic or not, you chose that action. If the tide pulls me where I was already swimming, I still chose to swim there, even if some other force took me half of the way.
Israel take care of your fascist leader. Learn from the Italians.
Gotcha, that’s what I would have assumed, but felt like I wanted to ask. Can’t say I disagree with any of that, Federally the US is a mess and it’s why state differences can be so stark and go from places like California, a place that would have like the 5th largest economy in the world if it was it’s own country, to places like Missouri that has significant amounts of poverty that resembles developing world poverty.
And thats the reson people like him. He tells the truth about everyone instead of pretending the threat of a facist is a good reason to sweep all issues with your candidate under the rug and lie.
Considering how slow walking biden to the convention has been going lately it seems he was right.
Historically, violence is the only way to stop fascism. But if you want to play the fascists game of just going over the lines so you don’t respond with violence, don’t be surprised when they win. If you cant see the difference between violence to fight fascism and violence that is fascism then you’re a kind of ‘both sides’ person I don’t think has what it takes to stop fascists.
Huxley warned us that the things we love would kill us but I’d don’t think he thought it would be like this particular case.
