Lol, we’ve been expecting that for 8-9 weeks now. At this point, what you have is what you have. They didn’t try and pick up anyone in the offseason that can catch a ball, they didn’t try to get anyone at the trade deadline beside Mecole who’s been a net negative so far.

They have no interest in feeding the ball to Rice, McKinnon is injured, so they’ll continue spreading it around each week and praying they don’t drop so many that we lose. Doesn’t really matter for the regular season, but it’s hard to believe the Chiefs don’t lose in the playoffs in this exact same way.

The offense is incredibly sloppy, 1st in drops, 6th in turnovers, 26 Offensive penalties. The drops aren’t going away, their best shot is cleaning up the penalties and stop fucking turning it over in the red zone every game.

Chargers have lost 2, won 2, lost 2, won 2, lost 2.

Being how dumb most of their seasons go, I am predicting they somehow come back and win this game to continue the pattern.

Meh, not every team blows everyone out, sometimes you just like to coast or scrape by in 10-11 wins a year, let bad teams close a 20 point least to 7 in the 2nd half always.

Chiefs have 2-3 teams with less wins finish 40-80 points above them in differential every year, and it seems to work out fine.

The ones with only 3 losses don’t have much of a sample size for this chart so one bad game will skew it. Mahomes almost certainly all comes from the Broncos game, which was his worst EPA ever in a start.

Lions v. Steelers

Lions is obvious

Steelers basically cause it makes no sense and also I won’t have to see people all offseason asking if their QB has surpassed Mahomes. (Browns would be nice for their fans, but fuck their owner and Deshaun).

I know this said “realistic” in the title, but the Steelers are the #1 wild card, and they got rid of Canada…so yea.

Only time the Chiefs got the #1 draft pick was probably one of the worst draft years this century.

do you have a link or can post the chart for Elo at the end of 2022 season/SB?

I hate the Broncos, but their writeup guy is my favorite every week.

I’m disappointed we beat the Raiders and there’s nothing written in ours even.

Obviously a homer view, but if the Chiefs cut out the turnovers, and feed more targets to the guys on the team that can catch instead of spreading it around to 11 guys, no one’s going to have a chance against them until the SB.

I didn’t mention cutting out penalties, cause I wanted to be realistic, and I just don’t see a world where Smith/Taylor don’t have 2-3 penalties a game minimum between them.

They have to be one of the healthiest teams in the league at this point, with no impact players out for the season, and several important guys coming back before the playoffs.
